The Urgal Snared at Hisas, "You should go save the people in the fire, the people that would love to see your head on a stake." The swords clashed together. The blows fell hard. Then Hisas lost his foot hold and fell. He broke into the house and with a word stopped himself from being enplaned into the ground. The Urgal on the roof took that time to light some more fires on near by houses. then leaped down to the roof and then down to where Hisas was standing. The swords clashed but this time Hisas had an idea. When the swords clashed he put his hand on the urgals sword and with a word put his power into the other urgals sword like most did to gems. But putting it into iron it sent a shock into him and the other urgal. Most of the shock when into the other urgal. Hisas spun and cut the urgals shocked head of its body. The body fell.

Hisas ran, smelling and seeing the trail he saw the cloths on the ground. he picked them up and ran on then he saw her and the man he pulled out his sword and roared That was cut short by the wind and the trees falling.

Her lips peeled back further, a menacing grin spreading across her features, now she didn’t look as pretty as she once had, now she looked scary. The man fumbled about and quickly drew his axe up from his shoulder, eyes narrowed against the wind still pulsing from her being, hovering just above the ground. Then it abruptly stopped and she flew right at him. Clawed fingers grasped at the mans face and he yelled in surprise, as the fingers turned white hot and scarred across his skin and sent him reeling backwards in pain. He was dimly aware of someone arriving on the scene, but had no time to wonder who, because the girl was on top of him, and with a fist covered in glowing white flames she smashed into his face.

He yelled a word and the snakes shot up from his armour and wrapped about her legs and up towards her throat again. She fell back off him, pulling at them and that gave him enough time to get to his feet, blood streaming down his face from a broken nose. Ave was moved and sent straight at her, it cut deep into her thigh, and he swung it around in a circle before meeting her across her bare stomach with the blade. The young girl stopped for a second, before the wounds began to give out a soft light and before his eyes, the cuts healed. Then she grabbed both the snakes by the head and fire pulsed down her arms and they burst into flames. She then lifted both arms in ceremony, palms facing downwards.

The earth underneath her shifted, and as her hands lifted, water flowed up from the grass and plants around her, collecting in small moving particles, and then the drops started to solidify, and they turned into perfectly pointed shards of ice. Then with a flick of her hand the shot straight at him. The man was pierced by several, but merely grunted, another pair of snakes materialising behind him. He saw her move her hands to the side, and then he blinked as two assassin swords seemed to materialise in the sky from the direction of the village and flew into her hands it breakneck speed, Then her hands grasped around the hilts of the double swords and she took up a defensive stance almost immediately, swords held across her as she stalked closer to the man. The two circled one another, and as he moved into her with his axe swinging up, her left sword came up, caught the falling axe, whilst the other silver blade sliced through the armour on his legs and a shower of blood flew out as the sword drew back and she jumped away.

The man cursed and started a haling spell up, before running at her, then he felt the ground underneath him started to crumble and then fell down into a churning mass of rocks and mud. She approached him and then grabbed the man by the back of the neck, leering down at him before dragging him out and throwing him headlong into a tree. As she advanced on him, the two snakes grabbed her legs, and she holed like a caged animal as she tried to pull them off, the man, who should be dead, got up again, his eyes burning as he watched the struggling woman. he then gulped down his pain, rolling his head around and then he pushed off from the ground before sprinting straight t her, she stopped moving as she saw him and then drew up her swords, and sliced through the snakes before running at him, as they stopped short of one another, axe and sword met flesh, free hand extended and then pushed up against his armour before the man froze. He realised then that he was the one who couldn’t move.

Serra’s body contorted backwards as she flipped back on herself, out of the reach of the frozen axe, she smiled at the man, and spun the swords around twice before sliding them into the underskirt belt so they held, these were the Elven swords shed talked about before, and couldn’t use, but this new being who had awoken within her, seemed particularly adept at using. Now the girl lifted both hands, twisting them till the palms faced the man and then she clenched her fists tightly, and watched in satisfaction as his armour was pressed in on him, after all it was metal, and therefore a property of nature, and her powers. The man screamed in pain as the metal dug into his skin, as the air was pushed from his lungs and still he couldn’t get away or defend himself.

And slowly his eye sight dimmed and he could just see the outline of the girl coming closer to him, steps slow and her right arm drew back, hand streamlined and facing him vertically like a knife. Then she stopped a few inches away before the hand pierced straight through his shattered armour, skin and then touched to his just beating heart, as soon as it did a huge vault of lightning from her finger tips made him shake violently several times before the last breath of air parted his lips. Then as the hand withdrew form the man and he fell to the floor, blood flowing out from the hole in his chest, Serra unexpectedly wobbled on her feet having very little time to comprehend with anything, just catching sight of Hisas a little way off before toppling over onto her side, unconscious.

(OCC: javascript:add('%20[image] %20') [image] nice... and we NEED a ninja smile!)

Hisas saw it all happen and he was stunned. The magic that this bar maid had was unreal. When Serra fell he rushed over to her lifted her up over his shoulder.

Back at Hisas hideout, Hisas took a second to look out over the town with the smoke rising from it, The end is today, Hisas reminded him self. No longer will the people of this town have to live with such a great threat that they do not know about. Hisas Went into his hideout to prepare for the last fight. He took of the wall his urgal horn crossbow, made by the dwarfs just for him. He took his bolts and looked a last time a the form of Serra on the bed. He know it would be best to let her rest after all the power she had used, and what she had gone through. He opened the door and went to end The Dark Shadows... another step to the end of The Empire.

Serra was out for the count, she felt drained and was unconscious before she even hit the floor. Even as Hisas took her back to the hideout, she didn’t stir once, though as he prepared to leave to attend to his business, Serra murmured lightly in her sleep, finally energy beginning to return so that her mind could dream peacefully. As the door opened the girls eyes opened a fraction as though she were about to wake, before she rolled over and snuggled back into the depths of the bed, falling asleep once again.

With out any sound besides a little shacked scream the man fell dead a crossbow bolt flying from his back. The other men if the town's main street saw him fell. Their were only eight men of TDS left in the street. One ran into a building a crossed the street... one that had not be set on fire. This must we where TDS have their HQ. And where the leader of TDS must be. Hisas jambed another bold into his crossbow leveled it and shoot another man down, seven left.

Serra twitched in her sleep, her mind had finally been clamed by her dreams, though this time they felt more real. She dreamed that she had this immense power, and watched herself land blow after blow upon a man who looks strangely like the one who had been chasing her. Then a sudden noise startled her, as she kicked the blades at her side onto the floor and they clattered loudly. Green eyes shot open, and she gasped. Where was she? Why was she here? It felt like every muscle in her body had been strained and used, and she could barley summon enough strength to lift herself up into a sitting position, but the girl did. She had a vague memory of snakes tight at her throat, and then it had all gone black. Had Hisas saved her? Probably. He must have come just at the right moment to defeat the man. As she sat there, that dream came back to her. She pressed her hands to her head, trying to think straight, but she was drained it seemed, and she just lay back on the bed, and wondered where Hisas was, for she could not see him.

Another fell. Only four left... I think I will give them a chance. Hisas hooked his crossbow to his belt. He stepped out into the street. The smoke from the buildings made it hard to see. The four men were standing in the middle for the street back to back. Fools, if you had half a mind you would have run into the houses when I started shooting. The first man saw him, he gave a cry and charged before he friend had a chance to see what he had seen. Ok, so no mind in there... well its about time to give him one. The man ran right at Hisas, his over sized sword held above his head. If I stayed here I bet that man would just run into me. Hisas stepped to one side at as the man rushed past. Hisas pulled the sword out of the mans hand, Hisas turned around and kicked the man in the back. The other three men can running at Hisas. Hisas smiled, he throw the sword from his hand. Then he pulled his sword out.

As Serra lay there she felt her head sear with pain and she yelped, falling off the bed with a thud, rolling across the floor clutching her head. Images began replaying through her mind at breakneck speed, her attacker, muttering darkly, walking away, power, trees falling everywhere. A great wind knocking the man over. Pain, an axe slashing across her flush, then a hand landing on the cut and it healed in seconds. The man suspended there, grinding, cracking sounds, his armour crumbling and cutting into him. The girl was horrified and screamed, she raked at her face with clawed hands. Her hands, lifting, contorting, blood, footsteps, arm held back, then released into the armoured flesh, cutting straight through, a huge bolt of energy flowing down her arm. Then man on the floor, eyes wide, blank, he was dead. Then nothing, darkness. Serra twitched where she now lay halfway across from the bed, sides heaved, a cold sweat had broken out all over her. What on earth was happening? Was she going mad? She felt sick, but moved upwards, standing on shaking legs. She needed air, fresh air. Serra began walking forwards and lifted a hand to pull the door open, but before she'd touched it the door flew open on its own accord. She stumbled backwards and then saw something looming in front of her. A serpent, the mans serpent!

Serra jumped backwards as the snake lunged, and then she found herself lifting her hand, and from her palm shot a wave of flames. The flew at the snake and hit it in the face, and it writhed in pain as it was blinded. Though who was more shocked at this, the snake or Serra? Serra froze, she had just used some kind of magic, she didn’t even know any magic! Then before she knew it both hands had come up and she had run at the snake, palms pressed flat against its scaled body and she something burst inside her and then from her fingertips came this great bright light, and it sunk into the snakes skin. She jumped as the bolt of lightning left her and penetrated the serpent deeply. It shuddered and then thudded to the floor. Serra felt empty tears run down her face, what was happening? Why was it happening? Was what she had seen just now real? Had she killed someone. As she slumped to her knees she stared blankly at the dead snakes huge corpse, its flesh smouldering. She felt her mouth move, as she tried to call out something, but it just wouldn’t work, she was lost for words, she couldn’t move, her world had just fallen in around her. ''Hisas, where are you?'' she managed to whimper, some part of her mind convinced he would know something about this. But the rest of her was still, her face damp with tears now, her hands still blood stained from earlier. Quite a sight, wouldn’t you say?

The fight, if you could call it that, was fast Hisas swiftly disarmed all the men with out hurting one of then, except their pride. Hisas then entered the house that the man had ran into when Hisas had started shooting. As he walked in he slashed at the door, causing a part of the wall to fall in. He did not know why he did it, maybe it was so if Serra woke up and came looking for him she would be able to find him. The first thing Hisas saw when he walked in was the table had been pulled over away form the middle of the floor, where it had probably been. And the floor mat had been thrown to the side to show a trap door. Very clever, a under ground base. Hisas pulled open the door and to his shock there was a ramp of stone, he had been expecting a latter leading into the deep dark depths.

Hisas started down the ramp. At the bottom there was a small gap just big enough to crawl though. He bent down and started to crawl, about half way into the tunnel his mind gave him reason to fear. no one in here would be hard to hit with an arrow. This is a death trap! And even now he could see the arrow that would end his life. And he heard the crackling laughter of the man bout to take it. There was not time.

Serra lay there for a few more seconds, breathing deeply. How could she come to terms with this? It was like Hisas had just left her. Or, maybe he was in trouble? She blinked at that. The men might not be finished yet! The Dark Shadows could still be alive, and Hisas had gone to finish them, alone. She shook her head, what if he he got caught? Then what would she do? Serra took a deep breath, and then closed her eyes, calming herself down. She slowly slid herself up the wall and onto her feet again, balancing herself c carefully she stepped over the snakes body. And as if guided by magic almost she felt herself walking to where the two assassin swords lay on the table.

The girls fingertips traced across the cold metal, that gleamed in the dim light. She moved her hand to the hilt and clasped her hand around it. Strangely it felt familiar, and to her surprise a wave of comfort and warmth spread through her numb body. She used her other hand to pick up the other sword and she held herself there for a few seconds, feeling at ease. Maybe this was her destiny? Maybe she wasn’t a monster, maybe now she could be of use to someone? If she could use magic, she must be useful. And not as helpless as she thought, maybe she had hope. Then an image flashed into her mind. A long, dark tunnel, and at the end a sharp glinting object. 'An arrow head?' she wondered, and then she heard a sardonic laughing echoing through the small tunnel.

It was a horrible, slurred sound that m=chilled even the calmness that the touch of the swords had bright, She was shaken awake and gasped, and as her eyes opened she caught an image of a building, a huge hold broken into its wall. It must have been magic, for Serra could not remember even telling herself to move, for she grasped both blades tightly slipped them into her belt and ran out of the room. Like the wind almost, the girl flew through the streets, unseen by any passers by she moved so quickly and so fluidly. She kept to the shadows, looking for that place she'd seen, with the hole in the wall. She fled round corners and down alleys until she spotted it. This must be where Hisas was. She saw bodies here and there, and glancing quickly at the wounds confirmed that Hisas had passed by.

Serra quickly jumped inside the hole, and into the shadows. There was a table in the room, that had been pulled up from the floor and was lain on its side. In front of it, a hole, that she suspected was a trap door. Dare she go down? She nodded, and then peered over the edge, a stone ramp? How interesting. She stepped lightly onto the ramp, bare feet making no sound. Serra crept further down, and became subconsciously aware that her green eyes were now glowing prominently in the darkness. She was surprised, but decided not to let it get to her. She needed to know what lay for her down here. As she moved further down she saw the path turned into a small cramped tunnel, and as she was just readying herself to climb into it she heard that same laugh from her vision earlier. Then as her eyes grew accustomed to the darkness she saw the silhouette of Hisas in the tunnel as well. And then it all clicked.

Without thinking she yelled ''Get Down!'' to Hisas, before she pulled her arms back towards her like she was holding an invisible ball, then in her hands appeared a ball of raging fire. She then flexed her hands both at an angle and the fireball flew from her grasp and shot down the tunnel towards the gleaming arrowhead as well as the laughing. She heard a shocked yell, and someone moving in the shadowy depths, as the fireball hit the back of the tunnel and exploded, illuminating something Serra really wished she hadn’t seen. It was a man, cloaked in shadows, but his eyes, his eyes were red! Serra fumbled backwards as she caught a cold glare from the blood red eyes and they seemed to penetrate her very soul.

She gritted her teeth and growled lightly. She lifted her right arm high above her head while the left was held out straight in front of her, like a martial arts fighting stance. She felt the charged air about her just waiting to unbend to her will, the water from the town ready to stream to her, the earth beneath her feet cracking and moving as it was waited upon her order and the fire deep within the girl burned fiercely in her green eyes. This felt...good.. this made her feel... powerful, she felt one, she felt ready. She breathed out slowly, and looked at Hisas for a second, and then stared down the tunnel readying herself for another attack.

Hisas dropped to the ground did some one just say get down? or was that my mind Hisas did not know. The arrow went over his head, then from behind a fireball shot over his head, Great, enemies on both sides! Hisas Pulled his hands above his head then pulled them back like he was making a powerful swimming stroke. He shot out of the tunnel like a arrow, A wall flashed into his view, twisting his legs around he hit the wall, no, he stopped just a inch off of the wall and shot up to the roof, As he shot up his sword flashed in his hands. Hisas bounced off the roof, then the other wall before landing on the ground, with three bodies at his feet.

He looked down what was now a hall. At the far end two great wood doors were guard by ten men. Hisas pulled his sword back up and said, "I an Hisas of the Varden, Urgals, and friend of elves and dwarfs. Lay down you arms."

Conclusion:

Serra climbed throw the gap and out the other side were Hisas was fighting against nine men, three lay on the ground by her feet and one lay on the ground by Hisas. She took her swords and joined the fight.

Behind the great doors, in the dark two red eyes look and waited. the sound of battle came from the other side of the door. Then a unearthly voice cackled with anticipation.

5....4...3...2...1 the last guard saw what his red eyed friends die, but his eyes did not show anything, they did not even blink, like the dead stare of a shark. even after Hisas sword removed his head from his shoulders the eyes never closed.

The door exploded to revel the master-mind of the Dark Shadows. She Stood there red eyes blazing. In a voice that should have come out of a corps she said "You have ruined everything! and you will pay with your lives!" She took up her great sword spikes ran the up and down the blade.

Hisas and Serra moved to flank the red eyed leader of The Dark Shadows. The leader crocked a laugh and lunged at Serra and whispered to her when there blades crossed, "You are young and powerful. You could have learned to be a great user of magic... But you will die here."

Hisas sword stopped an inch away from cutting the leaders head off. "You think I am so easy to beat? Ever the king fears my power!"

"You have made your last blunder." Hisas said. dropping his sword he pulled his crossbow out and shot up at her head. The arrow shot through the leaders defenses, and had enough power to go through her head.

Later, "Thank you for your help, but the Varden will need me some were else. Good Bye."

And with that Hisas walked down the path. The sun set on a burning town. And a story of two great warriors come to an end.

I hope you have enjoyed this story. Ninja Lord
